Job summary

Aon is seeking an Underwriting Assistant (Underwriting Specialist I) to support the Recreation program within Aon Affinity's K&K Insurance Recreation team. The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate processing of new and renewal information, and reliable customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have or be willing to obtain an Indiana P&C license, strong communication, and solid organizational skills.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a commercial underwriting Property and Casualty operation desirable.
Active Property and Casualty Indiana Insurance license; OR will be required to take the licensing test and obtain the license within six months.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills and time management capabilities.
Work cohesively in a team environment and follow direction well.
Computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other company programs.

Responsibilities

Work within a team environment supporting Underwriters on specialized insurance programs.
Process new and renewal information on accounts assigned to Underwriters.
Communicate with insureds during customer service duties.
Process binders, certificates, invoices and endorsement changes.
File setup and preparation of policy issuance instructions.
Learn team programs to qualify new business submissions for acceptance or declination.
