Job summary

City of Aurora is seeking a Recreation Facility Specialist to monitor and supervise front desk operations, programs, and facility rentals. The role involves coordinating staff, ensuring safety, and delivering high-quality customer service in our PROS facilities.

You will work in a dynamic public sector environment, collaborating with multiple departments, managing registrations, payments, and rentals, and helping residents enjoy parks, fields, pools, and fitness centers while upholding city

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation management or related field.
• At least two years of experience in recreation administration or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Windows-based programs Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise variable-hour staff and conduct training.
• Oversee facility operations, rentals, and front desk services.
• Ensure safety and customer service standards at recreation centers.
• Coordinate rentals, setup/takedown, and manage payments.
