Job summary

City of Aurora is seeking a Recreation Facility Specialist within the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Department. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supervising front desk and facility operations, and coordinating rentals to ensure high event satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation management, facilities management, public administration, or related field.
• At least two years of progressively responsible recreation administration experience.
• Knowledge of customer service best practices.
• Foundational business acumen including revenue and expense.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example to ensure excellent customer service at the recreation center.
• Monitors operations of assigned recreation program areas and facility operations.
• Oversees activities of staff and volunteers; trains and directs duties.
• Maintains communications with employees, vendors, and the public.
• Coordinates facility rentals and ensures events are executed with satisfaction.
