The Experience Facilitator is responsible for executing activities with guests of Ojai Valley Inn. The Experience Facilitator reports to the Recreation Supervisor and Activities Manager. Experience Facilitators primary responsibilities are providing guided tours of Beekeeping, Bike Tours, Honey Tasting, Olive Oil Tasting, Food Tours, Walking Tours and any new tours that are introduced. He/she is responsible for learning the outlined details of the tour and executing to those specifications. He/she is responsible for facilitating Artist Cottage activities and hosting guests during our Open Studio hours. He/she will assist in setting up art and apothecary projects, providing guidance on projects, and cleaning up workstations and supplies, in a space with high turnover in peak seasons. He/she will provide support to the Recreation Supervisor including assisting with daily activities. Such activities include but are not limited to Soap Making, Wind Chime Class, Ink Dye Coasters, Candle Making, Seasonal Activities, and Group Activities (Great Race, Guacamole and Salsa Challenge). He/she will help maintain a clean and organized environment and report to the Artist Cottage coordinator with any inventory or cleanliness concerns.
The ideal candidate is customer service oriented with an interest or background in art and knowledge about essential oils. They will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, have the ability to multitask, and can be resourceful and adaptable to new tasks/undertakings by using problem solving skills. We invite the opportunity to develop new activities and classes in a collaborative setting. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsible to teach or lead a variety of activities in a manner that is inclusive and engaging to all attendees.
Assist with the planning of special events for groups or families as the opportunity arises.
Responsible to offer tours of the Artist Cottage and explanations of the unique facility and programming contained therein.
Participate in the research and proposal of supplies and equipment needed to sustain such programs.
Attend required resort mandatory meetings.
Responsible to protect the environment of both the Artist’s Cottage & Apothecary to maintain safety and security throughout.
Execute Beekeeping and Honey Tasting Tours by providing informative presentations, Q&A and honey tasting.
Bike Tours with areas of interest - art, food, history while maintaining a comfortable pace on bike for all guests in attendance.
These tours should be interactive and interesting while using provided script.
Maintain the comfort and interest of all guests on tour in accordance with Forbes 5 Star Standards.
Provide guests with extensive property and local knowledge.
The ability to consistently learn and retain new information.
Accurately post charges to guest rooms or proper PM accounts.
Determine guest needs and demonstrate resourcefulness in providing solutions.
Maintain resort knowledge of outlets, events, room locations etc.
Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously. Follow up with designated hotel personnel to ensure completion of request.
