Work Smarter. Live Better. Target 36 Workweek!

Enjoy a better work-life balance through the City of Brighton’s innovative Target 36 pilot program, launched July 6, 2025. This forward-thinking initiative reduces the standard full-time workweek to 36 hours while maintaining a 40-hour workload, productivity, and high-quality public service.

With a focus on employee well-being, reduced burnout, and improved retention, Target 36 offers a more flexible approach to work without compromising our commitment to the community. While City Hall operates on a Monday–Thursday schedule of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m.–noon, departments such as Recreation use staggered schedules to maintain operational coverage and uninterrupted public service.
