Job summary

The City of Ramsey is seeking an organized, creative, and community-minded Recreation Coordinator to plan, develop, and deliver recreation programs, community events, and activities for residents of all ages. Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver recreation programs, community events, and activities for residents of all ages.
• Coordinate signature community events such as The Draw Summer Concert Series, Ramsey Farmers Market, Happy Days, and other events.
• Handle program and event planning, budgeting, registrations, facility rentals, contracts, vendor and volunteer coordination, and community partnerships.
• Manage marketing and on-site event leadership.
• Supervise the Parks Administrative Assistant and support staff as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and help balance multiple priorities.

This position plays an important role in coordinating some of Ramsey’s signature community events, including The Draw Summer Concert Series, Ramsey Farmers Market, Happy Days, and other special events. Responsibilities include program and event planning, budgeting, registrations, facility rentals, contracts, vendor and volunteer coordination, community partnerships, marketing, and on‑site event leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, experience coordinating programs or events, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent customer service. This position also provides direct supervision to the Parks Administrative Assistant.
