Warren County Recreation Department seeks a Recreation Complex Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the recreation complex, assist visitors, enforce rules, supervise seasonal staff, and ensure grounds and facilities are safe and well-maintained.
Responsibilities include opening/closing, safety inspections, grounds maintenance, facility rentals, paperwork accuracy, cross-training, and providing information on policies and services; CPR/First Aid within 60 days and NC driver's license
Hours: 10-25 hours per week
The Recreation Complex Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily management and operations of a recreation complex. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting operations of the complex, assisting visitors, managing public conduct by enforcing rules and regulations, overseeing seasonal staff at the complex, as well as ensuring the grounds and facility are safe, clean, and maintained properly. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Recreation Operation Manager.
General knowledge of the operation of a weigh station; general knowledge of landfill disposal policies; ability to use calculator in making simple mathematical calculations; ability to write legibly and make written reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public; ability to use computer system; ability to maintain detailed records.
High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age. Prefer knowledge and/or experience in facility supervision.
Position requires standing/walking during the assigned shift. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.
CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire. Possession of a valid driver's license in the state of North Carolina.
