Job summary

Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota seeks a Building Supervisor for the Recreation Center. This part-time, non-exempt role ensures safe facility operations, delivers exceptional customer service, and oversees student staff during all hours of operation.

The position supports custodial and athletic staff, assists with reservations and facility software, and upholds health and safety standards. Flexible scheduling is required, with opportunities to engage across PEAR programming.

Qualifications

• Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED current or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily opening/closing procedures and safety walkthroughs.
• Greet visitors, process check-ins, manage equipment checkouts, provide directions.
• Supervise student workers at front desk and fitness areas.
• Respond to incidents as primary on-site responder; implement emergency plans.
