Job summary

Description

The Town of Silverthorne’s Recreation Department is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to work Saturday and Sunday mornings from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with the potential for additional shifts as needed.

Most work will be performed before the facility opens or after it closes.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking locker rooms, as well as maintaining all other areas of the facility. Duties also include cleaning cardio equipment, circuit and weight‑training areas, and the indoor track.

During the winter months, snow removal will be required and will be top priority before the facility opens.

• Responsible for keeping all areas of the Recreation Center clean and presentable including, but not limited to: cleaning locker rooms; restrooms; flooring;fitness equipment; weight machines, trash and recycling collection and removal; kitchen areas; entrance and exit areas.
• Responsible for snow removal and general clean-up of grounds at the Recreation Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including custodial closets, office area and storage spaces.

Hiring Range is: $22.36 - $25.34

Full Pay Range is:$22.36 - $29.81

Position Requirements

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Experience with cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals and general maintenance
• Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire (training will be provided).

Preferred

• General Mainteneance knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
