Job summary

The Town of Prosper, Texas, is seeking a Seasonal Recreation Attendant to support the delivery of municipal recreation services. Under supervision, you will assist with events, supervise activities, and monitor Town-owned athletic fields to ensure safe and engaging programs for residents.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma, with a Bachelor’s in Recreation Leisure Studies, Kinesiology, or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Leisure Studies, Kinesiology or equivalent preferred.
• Recreation programming or facility management experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required or ability to obtain.
• First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering recreation services and programs.
• Supervise recreational, social, educational programs and activities.
• Assist with events and monitor Town-owned athletic fields.
• Collaborate with departments and external entities to provide quality services.

The Recreation Attendant Under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, external entities, and the public to deliver effective and innovative recreation services. The Employee assists in supervision of recreational, social, educational programs and activities for citizens, assisting with events, and monitoring Town owned athletic fields.
