Responsibilities and Requirements

• Meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
• Pass the E-Verify employment verification check; resolve any discrepancies.
• Work with hazardous materials such as cleaning agents and pool chemicals, wearing protective gear as needed.
• Perform duties both indoors and outdoors; outdoor work may involve sun and eye exposure.
• Be prepared to respond to emergency situations at all times.
• Lift and carry swimmers of varying weights and sizes.

Conditions of Employment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DoD, DON, and CNIC aquatic policies.
• Knowledge of water safety equipment and basic first aid, including AED and blood-borne pathogens.
• Basic arithmetic skills and cash handling experience.
• Ability to swim 300 yards in under 10 minutes.
• Ability to instruct swimming, diving, and water safety skills across various age groups.
• Ability to rescue and handle persons in water, enforce safety regulations, and communicate effectively.

Educational and Certification Requirements

• Water Safety Instructor certification.
• Lifeguard Training Certification.
• CPR for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers.
• First Aid and AED certifications.
• Blood Borne Pathogens training.
