Job Details
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprinting and background inquiry forms.
- Must pass the E-Verify employment verification check; any discrepancies must be resolved prior to employment.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often without a fixed schedule. Outdoor work may involve sun exposure and eye irritation.
- Irregular hours may be required, including early mornings, late shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Protective clothing and equipment may be necessary depending on the situation.
- May need to lift and carry swimmers of various sizes.
- Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- At least two years of lifeguard experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years with prior lifeguard functions performed.
- Current and valid WSI/lifeguard training, first aid, and CPR certifications.
- Ability to perform rescues and provide emergency aid.
- Knowledge of water safety, emergency response, and water quality checks.
- Understanding of fire, safety, sanitation, and hazardous material rules and procedures.
- Ability to prepare and maintain reports and records.
- Ability to enforce aquatics facility rules and regulations.
- Successful completion of background checks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Leadership ability.
Certifications Required
- Lifeguard Training
- CPR for the Professional
- Standard First Aid by the American Red Cross or equivalent
