The City of Euless is seeking a Recreation Assistant – Special Events to support park and recreation events, programs, and activities. You will assist in coordinating recreation, senior and aquatic events and help produce marketing materials.
Responsibilities include coordinating events with vendors, scheduling contracts, promoting events, updating the city's website, and assisting with event guides and outreach efforts.
Under general supervision, the Recreation Assistant – Special Events provides general assistance and support to assigned park and recreation events, projects, and activities, promoting programs and services, and encourages participation from citizens. Assists in coordinating recreation, senior and aquatic special events and produces general marketing materials as needed.
High school education or equivalent plus three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in event planning is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must be 18 years old. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record. Availability to work extended hours to include evenings and/or weekends is a must.
Able to carry/lift up to 55 pounds, push/pull up to 75 pounds, and grip 25 pounds. Able to bend, stretch, and twist. Able to climb multiple flights of stairs on a daily basis and walk frequently. Ability to stand, kneel, or sit for extended periods of time in various extreme temperatures.
