Requirements include:
- Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations. (review required documents section for more information.)
- Must pass all applicable records and background checks.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- NF-1 must obtain 1) Lifeguard Certification, 2) CPR for Professional Rescuers, 3) First Aid including AED, and 4) Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of employment.
- NF-2 must upload the following certifications to be qualified: 1) Lifeguard Certification, 2) CPR for Professional Rescuers, 3) First Aid including AED, and 4) Blood Borne Pathogens.
Qualifications include:
- Knowledge of pool and waterfront safety rules.
- Knowledge of DoD, DON, and CNIC policies and procedures regarding aquatic assessment testing and certifications.
- Knowledge of policies related to use of aquatic facilities and waterfront operations.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Ability to identify hazards and assist patrons immediately.
- Ability to enforce rules tactfully and provide water safety instruction.
- Ability to conduct safety inspections and ensure environmental health standards.
- Knowledge of chemical testing and adjustment procedures.
- Skilled in surf lifesaving techniques and radio communication for rescue operations.
- Ability to manage large groups and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
This position does not have a specific education requirement. Salary depends on experience and education. The workplace is drug-free, and employment is contingent upon passing background checks and other requirements.
