Base pay range
$22.00/yr - $22.50/yr
Duties
- Lead three or more lifeguards in lifeguard and swimming facility duties.
- Distribute and balance workload per directives.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Maintain work records as required.
- Instruct lower graded lifeguards, provide written instructions, materials, and supplies.
- Train new employees on the job.
- Stay updated on procedures, policies, and directives; consult supervisor for issues.
- Refer unresolved problems to supervisors.
- Report employee performance, progress, and disciplinary issues.
- Address informal complaints and refer others to supervisors.
- Assist aquatic manager with weekly training on lifesaving, customer service, and fitness.
- Monitor activities in swimming areas.
- Rescue and provide first aid to drowning or injured individuals.
- Help maintain and clean the facility.
- Oversee cash register duties, including end-of-day and opening procedures.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment:
- Complete a background check with favorable results.
- Obtain nationally recognized certifications in lifesaving, water rescue, basic first aid, and CPR (child and adult).
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks and Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- Be at least 16 years old.
Qualifications
Open to everyone. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility by 06/03/2025. Experience in swimming activities, safety equipment, and rules is desirable. Water Safety Instructor certification is highly preferred. Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. Must be at least 16 years old.
