Summary
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; CNIC. The primary function of the position is to ensure proper usage of the facility, assist in the operation of recreation activities, and handle revenue collection and disposition.

Duties

• Provides customer service to patrons, including greeting, checking IDs, issuing/receiving gear, and registering patrons.
• Answers phone inquiries about hours, events, and programs.
• Completes daily reports, handles cash, and manages revenue securely.
• Assists in planning, scheduling, and publicizing activities to attract participants.
• Oversees retail sales related to activities.
• Evaluates fitness activities based on participant feedback and program objectives.
• Monitors patrons, volunteers, and contractors, reporting issues to management.
• Assists in selecting fitness, sports, and aquatic activities based on resources and participant interests.

Instructional Support

• Monitors indoor and outdoor activities, including intramural sports.
• Conducts instructional classes and basic fitness orientations.
• Demonstrates activity procedures and equipment use.
• Prepares facilities for scheduled events, ensuring safety and adherence to regulations.

Facility/Equipment Maintenance

• Ensures facilities are open/closed on time and secure.
• Circulates among patrons to assist and maintain order.
• Maintains equipment and facilities, performs minor repairs, and reports major issues.

Requirements

• Must pass background checks and E-Verify.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of MWR policies, cash handling, fitness principles, and safety procedures. Skills in Microsoft Office, fitness instruction, and effective communication are required.
