About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation Center, Fort Dix, NJ.

Duties

1. Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of recreational facilities.
2. Establishes schedules of events as well as rules and regulations to be observed.
3. Tests water-skiing and boating equipment for safety.
4. Demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for campsites, water sports areas, firing ranges, and hunting areas.
5. Demonstrates equipment and techniques for outdoor activities such as camping, swimming, and boating.
6. Sets up gymnastics and playing fields for sports events, tournaments, and practice games, requiring knowledge of rules and procedures.
7. Inspects outdoor recreation and sports facilities and equipment for security and condition.
8. Schedules campsites, cabins, boats, and other outdoor recreation areas and equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• The incumbent must be at least 16 years of age.
• This position requires the incumbent to undergo pre-employment screening and random testing, including testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to involvement in an on-duty accident.
