Job summary

The City of Charleston is seeking a Recreational Aid to perform a broad range of duties in support of summer recreational programs, including greeting patrons, answering phones, enforcing center rules, and maintaining facilities.

This role may involve assisting with program creation and supervision, cleaning high usage areas, managing golf shop registrations at Cato Park, and staffing pool concession stands, with additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patrons, answering telephones, enforcing community center rules, and facility maintenance.
• Assist with creating and supervising community center programs and activities.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing high usage areas within the recreational community centers.
• Registers golfers, collects green fees and provides other support at Cato Park golf shop.
• Takes food and drink orders and collects payments at one or more swimming pool concession stands.
• Additional duties may include Pool Manager duties.
• And all other duties as assigned.
