Job summary

Brushy Creek MUD is seeking a Recreation Assistant to work with the Sports & Fitness team at the Brushy Creek Community Center. Most hours are inside, with some outdoor field work.

The role emphasizes safe instruction on equipment, supervising weight rooms, and supporting youth and adult leagues; weekend and evening shifts are required, with focus on community recreation programs.

Qualifications

• Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire: American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

The Organization

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.

At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.

Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.

Recreation Assistant

Brushy Creek MUD is hiring high energy, fitness-minded Recreation Assistants to work with the Sports & Fitness team. Most hours will be spent inside the Brushy Creek Community Center with some time on the outdoor sports fields.

Job Duties

• Providing Safe and Effective Instruction on the use of Exercise Equipment


• Monitoring use of Weight Room, Fitness Room, and Gymnasiums


• Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety of Recreational Equipment


• Coordinating Programs and Clinics


• Assisting with Youth and Adult Sports Leagues

Minimum Requirement

Schedule

• Shift: Thursday through Saturday 4 pm to 9.15 pm, and Sunday 9.30 am to 5.30pm
