Job summary

Avalon Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a friendly Recreation Aide to plan and lead activities that promote socialization, creativity, movement, and connection for residents. You’ll build meaningful relationships and help residents enjoy meaningful days while working a part-time schedule Wednesdays through Sundays, 2PM–7PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in games, crafts, music, entertainment and group programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who prefer individualized engagement.
• Help prepare activity materials, supplies and the activity area.
• Encourage resident interaction in a welcoming environment.
• Assist with special events and holiday programs.
• Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful and compassionate manner.
• Observe resident preferences and communicate them to the Recreation/Activities team.
• Maintain a clean, organized activity environment.
• Follow facility policies and resident safety guidelines.

Do you enjoy bringing energy, positivity, and a little fun to the people around you? Avalon Rehab & Care Center is looking for a Recreation Aide to join our team and help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents.

In this role, you’ll help plan and facilitate recreational activities that encourage socialization, creativity, movement, and connection. Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships with residents and make their days brighter.

Schedule: Wednesdays through Sundays: 2PM to 7PM

What You’ll Do as a Recreation Aide
