Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions in Texas seeks a motivated coordinator to support Job Corps activities for youth, plan leisure options, promote community service, and ensure safe transport and event execution.

You will coordinate with community partners, manage supplies and funds, and uphold safety, respect, and inclusion at the center. A High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license are required. Experience with youth programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of related experience working with youth.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with in-state driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and promoting activities so students can choose leisure options.
• Promotes and engages student participation in Community Service.
• Ensures safe transport of students occurs timely.
• Assists in ensuring events are available; ensures adequate equipment, supplies, or other resources for successful events.
• Assists in maintaining active communication with other community and governmental sources including Fine Arts, Theater, Choral, Drama, Sports, Education and Training, Community Colleges, and volunteer organizations; contacts are reported weekly.
• Ensures receipts/unused funds are returned to account fully for amount received.
• Accounts for monetary expenditures by submitting all necessary student excursion sheets, appropriate receipts, and unused funds.
• Assists in ensuring programs stay within funding limits.
• Enforces all procedures regarding property/equipment.
• Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
• Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
• Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
• Attends all required staff training opportunities.
