Job summary

The City of Idaho Falls is seeking a Recreation Aid for part-time/seasonal support to assist field and program personnel and provide general instruction to recreation participants.

Under supervision, you may instruct participants in a range of activities and assist with supervising facilities, events, and programs. A background in recreation or coaching is preferred; a background check may be required.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and training to demonstrate an ability or aptitude to perform the above and related duties.
• Previous experience and/or involvement in recreation programs, coaching, or officiating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct program participants in volleyball, disc golf, baseball, basketball, football, tennis, and other recreation or leisure activities.
• Perform in one or more recreation program areas: field/gym/fitness room monitoring; coaching/officiating youth and/or adult programs; score keeping youth and/or adult programs; assisting supervisor with organizing and conducting special athletic events and recreational programs.
