Job summary

Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation seeks a dynamic activities team member for full-time or part-time roles within the Activities Department. Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dynamic and caring individual for a Full and Part Time positios within the Activities Department. Experience is a plus. Individual must be willing to work every other weekend / holiday.

This position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families.

Position duties include:

• Establish rapport with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents and their families


• Develop approaches/interventions to meet the psychosocial needs of residents


• Collaborate with Activity Director to develop and run programming ideas for residents


• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with residents having dementia and appropriate therapeutic/behavioral interventions


• Must be able to work with a team


• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect


• Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, patience and energy

Job Type: Full Time / Part-Time

Required experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent


2. At least one year experience in pediatrics and/or geriatrics recreation
