Job summary

USCG Community Services Command in Kodiak, AK seeks a Recreation Aid to support MWR services. The role involves assisting in a range of recreational activities, supervising events, and providing information to patrons about facilities and equipment.

You will assist with scheduling, equipment checks, and safety compliance. Must be at least 18 years old; duties may include clerical or maintenance tasks, and some positions are intermittent with variable hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn USCG MWR policies, rules and regulations
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and heavier with assistance
• Experience performing duties similar to the ones listed

Responsibilities

• Oversee recreational activities and services for authorized patrons
• Provide general information on equipment use and facility operations
• Issue tools, equipment and games, check IDs, and collect fees when applicable
• Assist in directing patrons, scheduling courts, lanes and equipment
• Decorate party rooms and maintain cleanliness of work areas
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and monitor premises security
• Perform clerical or maintenance tasks as needed and participate in reports
