Job summary

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking a Recreation Aide to enrich residents' lives through engaging programs and activities. The role is full-time, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some 11:00 PM–7:00 PM shifts and every other weekend, located in Hazlet, NJ.

You will lead group and individual activities, plan monthly events, and tailor plans to residents' interests while ensuring safety, confidentiality, and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience with elderly populations preferred.
• Strong communication skills in a caregiving setting.
• Ability to plan and lead activities.
• Commitment to resident safety, confidentiality, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and individual recreation activities for residents, including cognitive enrichment, physical fitness, and social engagement.

Requirements

• Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative with a passion for working with the elderly.
• Previous experience with a geriatric/adult population preferred.
• Compassionate, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
