Air Education and Training Command at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, Texas, seeks a flexible Recreation Aid and Assistant. The position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) civilian role within the 47th Force Support Squadron, Arts and Crafts, offering up to 40 hours per week and potential night, weekend, and holiday work.

Leave and benefits do not apply. Responsibilities include operating the cash register, handling framing orders, and using the engraving machine and matt cutter.

Formación

High school diploma or equivalent required (no substitution).
Foreign education may be considered for equivalency to U.S. education; provide evidence upon applying.

Closes out the cash register, completes required paperwork and submits to supervisor.
Uses framing shop equipment including engraving machine and matt cutter.
Prepares verbal and written estimates for customers and notifies when orders are complete.

Provides customer service and answers phones.
Places special orders and stocks merchandise.

Hiring Agency: Air Education and Training Command

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, Arts and Crafts located at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas. This position is Flexible, guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. May include nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Operates the cash register, collects money, makes change and issues receipts. Closes out the cash register, completes required paperwork and submits entire package to supervisor. Uses small equipment within the Frame shop, to include but not limited to the engraving machine and matt cutter. Prepares verbal and written estimates for customers, notifies customer when orders are complete. Calls in requests for framing supplies. Processes returns and credits with suppliers.

Provides customer service, answers telephones. Places special orders .Stocks merchandise received.

Requirements & Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
