Air Force Global Strike Command seeks a Recreation Aid for the Arts & Crafts Facility at Minot AFB, ND. This FLEX position offers an intermittent schedule with up to 0–40 hours per week as needed, and access to fitness, golf, bowling, clubs, and pool.

You will assist in operating the center, handling sales, reservations, and monetary transactions, and help with stock, displays, and event setups. Foreign education may be considered; proof of credentials may be required.

Qualifications

Experience in customer service and money handling preferred.
Ability to take reservations and process class payments.
Familiarity with stock display and inventory helps.

Responsibilities

Operate the skills development center and handle sales for the resale store.
Take reservations and process payments for classes, following proper money handling procedures.

Hiring Agency: Air Force Global Strike Command

About the position: This position will be a RECREATIO AID assigned to ARTS & CRAFTS FACILITY at Minot AFB, ND. This is a FLEXIBLE (FLEX) position. A Flex (Intermittent) schedule does not have guaranteed hours, and you may work 0-40 hours per week as needed by the facility. Employees are eligible to use the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, clubs, and swimming pool.

Key Responsibilities

Performs and/or assists other recreation specialists in the operation of the skills development center. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: sells resale store merchandise, takes reservations and payment for classes, ensuring all proper money handling procedures are followed. Assists in marking stock for sale, stocking merchandise to the shelves, taking orders for special orders of any items.

Assist in setting up displays and decorations for special events. Becomes familiar with and/or knows where to find information concerning programs within the Services squadron. Assists in inventories and the security of materials and equipment within the center. Assists with group activities that require more than one staff monitor. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
