Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking a Recreation Services Administrative Manager to oversee administrative operations, payroll, HR processes, purchasing, and IT, and to coordinate training, communications, and budgeting. The role supervises the department's administrative team and supports executive leadership.

You will develop policies, manage projects, and liaise across City departments to promote efficiency, accountability, and excellent public service within Recreation Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field is required.
• Six (6) years of progressively responsible government experience in parks and recreation or public administration fields are required.
• Two (2) years’ experience supporting direct reports at the professional and managerial level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department administration including payroll, position control, purchasing and human resources related processes.
• Assist with department budget, purchasing and financial transactions.
• Plan and oversee executive team and department meetings; coordinate boards and communications.
