Job summary

The City of Boca Raton is seeking a Recreation Services Administrative Manager to lead the department’s administrative operations, including payroll, purchasing, human resources processes, information technology, employee training, communications, and budget administration.

This role supervises the department’s administrative team, supports executive leadership, coordinates department-wide projects, develops policies, and ensures efficiency, accountability, and excellent service across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field.
• Six (6) years of progressively responsible government experience in parks and recreation or public administration.
• Two (2) years’ experience supporting direct reports at the managerial level.
• Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "E" driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department administrative operations including payroll, position control, purchasing and human resources related processes.
• Plans and oversees the executive team’s and the department's meetings.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure consistency and best practices.
• Coordinate department-wide projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist with coordination of the department’s emergency management plans.
