Job summary

Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks seeks a Recreation Activity Center Leader to supervise and coordinate a diverse program at the Middle River RAC. The role involves planning, promoting, scheduling, and evaluating activities with a focus on safety and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Plus one year of related recreation experience.
• CPR and first aid certifications required or pursued within 10 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and evaluating a variety of recreation activities and events at the RAC.
• Plan and lead indoor and outdoor activities across cultural arts, fitness, hobbies, arts, sports, and socialization.
• Meet with participants to determine leisure activity needs and preferences.
• Provide site supervision and oversee daily operations in the absence of a RAC Coordinator.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and food service records.
