GEO Group is hiring for a recreation program role focused on organizing and supervising recreational activities for detainees in a secure environment. You will coach teams, oversee tournaments, and ensure safety and proper use of equipment.

A high school diploma is required; advanced degrees in PE or recreational therapy are a plus, with prior inmate or correctional experience advantageous. Valid driver’s license is required, and you will maintain records and train staff weekly.

Qualifications

• Role requires a high school diploma; higher education in PE or recreational therapy is desirable.
• Experience with inmate populations or in physical education is an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize recreational activities for detainees.
• Coach athletic teams and oversee competitions and tournaments.
• Ensure safe use of recreational equipment and maintain cleanliness and safety of the recreation area.
• Provide weekly safety training to recreation staff and maintain records.
• Schedule repairs and manage recreation equipment maintenance.
