Genesis in Maine seeks an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents by planning, organizing and implementing engaging recreation activities that meet physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will collaborate with care teams, document attendance, participate in care plan meetings, and help foster a welcoming, supportive environment for families and visitors.

Qualifications

• Effective communicator with excellent verbal/written skills.
• Well-developed organizational abilities and record keeping skills.
• Able to positively engage with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities meeting patients' physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.
• Document patient/resident attendance and participation at recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
