Job summary
AtlantiCare is seeking a Driver Recovery Coach to transport clients by van across residential, clinical, and medical programs, while helping with engagement and smooth transitions into treatment. The role mainly operates during daytime hours with flexibility for evening programs as needed.
Responsibilities include educating clients on navigating treatment and recovery supports, maintaining relationships with clients and families, and providing on-call coverage as required to support recovery
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid NJ Driver's License required.
- 18 hours Ethics/Peer Support Training and 46 hours Recovery Specialist training (CCAR) required.
- CPI required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Minimum 1 year of personal recovery and knowledge of the recovery process.
- Ability to recognize the elements of a client crisis.
Responsibilities
- Transport clients by van for residential, clinical, and medical programs.
- Assist in client engagement and ensure smooth transition into programs.
- Provide on-call coverage when needed.
- Educate individuals on navigating treatment and recovery supports.
- Support recovery goals and strengthen patient/family engagement.
