Job summary

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) seeks a compassionate Recovery Technician in Lebanon, CT to help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients on their recovery journey.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, professionalism, and teamwork across shifts. Responsibilities include client orientation, documentation, property screening, medication safety, and urgent issue coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher not required; experience in care settings preferred.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred within six months.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program activities to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Support daily routines and respond to client needs with professionalism.
• Orient new clients to facility rules and program expectations.
• Complete non-clinical admission paperwork and documentation.
• Screen incoming client property for inappropriate items.
• Observe self-administration of medications and ensure proper onsite accountability.
• Coordinate with medical and behavioral staff for urgent issues.
• Provide clients with clean linens, towels, and supplies.
• Maintain department security and respond to calls as needed.
