Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. seeks a dedicated staff member for the Women's Department of Corrections program at 1306 Spring Garden St, Philadelphia.

You will supervise recovery staff, coordinate schedules, maintain census, transport clients for medical needs, and monitor client movements and belongings in a busy residential setting. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year in a related field, and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Criminal Justice and/or Residential Behavioral Health Program Setting for individuals with a minimum of 60 college credits; applicants with a high school diploma or GED must have at least 3 years of Residential Behavioral Health Program Settings.
• Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email and Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and training of recovery support professionals.
• Support the development of daily scheduling for proper staff coverage during all shifts.
• Ensure the maintenance of an accurate daily census.
• Maintain driver's license and transport and act as escort for clients to appointments or other business outside the facility.
• Screen client's personal belongings upon entry to the facility.
• Deny access to facility to unauthorized persons.
• Monitor client movement in and out of the facility and account for their whereabouts.
• Oversee coordination of chores, fresh air, and in-house activities according to schedule.
• Coordinate and document client searches as directed.
• Facilitate client request slips including phone calls and visitation.
• Monitor client medications where appropriate.
• Conduct client orientation sessions and seminars and complete activity sheets in electronic record system.
• Screen and process new admissions and belongings.
• Monitor hourly runs and client movement in log.
• Conduct regular room checks per schedule.
• Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers.
• Communicate medical needs to case manager.
• Conduct weekly safety checks and fire drills; maintain safety equipment.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and inspected weekly.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through inspections and work orders.
• Complete written reports and documentation as required.
• Aid in therapeutic community activities; perform other duties as assigned.
