Job summary

Recovery Centers of America at Raritan Bay is seeking a dedicated Recovery Support Supervisor to lead a team of Recovery Support Specialists, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality patient care. You will supervise scheduling, coaching, and performance, collaborate with Nursing, Clinical, and Admissions, and drive KPI outcomes while maintaining regulatory standards across the facility in Monroeville, PA.

Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday–Friday; flexibility required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Certification (BHT, CADC, CRADC, CRS, CPRS, CFRS, or eligible) preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment as RSS, BHT, MHT, or similar preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading small teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Recovery Support Specialists, including scheduling, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Achieve KPIs such as rounding timeliness, group attendance, patient satisfaction, and safe discharge metrics.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety and security checks and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team to ensure streamlined operations and patient experiences.
• Oversee RSS programming and facilitate engagement throughout the facility.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training RSS staff.
• Review rounding reports and incident logs to address issues as needed.
• Ensure coverage during evenings and weekends with clinical/nursing leaders.
• Apply 12-Step modalities, DBT, MAT, MI in practice and behavior modification strategies.

Recovery Centers of America at Raritan Bay is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Supervisor to join our team. In this leadership role, you will support patients navigating substance use and mental health disorders while supervising a team of Recovery Support Specialists (RSS). You will play a key part in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and engaging environment, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving departmental excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise a team of Recovery Support Specialists, including scheduling, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Ensure department performance by achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as rounding timeliness, group attendance, patient satisfaction, and safe discharge metrics.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Conduct safety and security checks, complete required documentation, and help maintain a therapeutic treatment milieu.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team members—including Nursing, Clinical, and Admissions—to ensure streamlined operations and exceptional patient experiences.
• Oversee RSS programming and facilitate engagement throughout the facility.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training RSS staff.
• Review rounding reports, incident reports, and weekly contraband logs, addressing issues as needed.
• Ensure consistent oversight during evenings and weekends through collaboration with clinical and nursing leaders.
• Uphold best practices in 12-Step modalities, DBT, MAT, MI, and behavior modification strategies.
• Perform other job-related duties, including occasional transport of patients or belongings.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred:

• Associate degree or higher
• Certification (BHT, CADC, CRADC, CRS, CPRS, CFRS, or eligible)
• 3+ years’ experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment as an RSS, BHT, MHT, or similar
• Experience supervising or leading small teams

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of clinical and recovery-support modalities (12-Step, DBT, MAT, MI)
• Ability to analyze data trends to improve patient safety and staff performance
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing conditions

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Active role requiring frequent walking, standing, and patient interaction within a treatment facility
• Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, tablets, scanners)
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
• Local travel during business hours; occasional overnight travel may be required
