Job summary

Recovery Centers of America in Massachusetts is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) for a full-time third shift with 11:00pm–7:30am, including weekend rotation. The role provides direct patient support, safety checks, and documentation, in collaboration with clinical staff for new patient orientation.

The position offers $18/hour base pay with shift differentials and a $5,000 bonus, 32 hours per week, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in addiction services or behavioral health preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and 12-step recovery principles.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient activities, provide safety checks, and complete documentation (rounds sheet, end-of-shift reports).
• Participate in direct patient care, ensure patient safety, interact therapeutically, and assist with the daily schedule.
• Partner with Clinical staff to conduct a welcoming New Patient Orientation.
• Aid and instruct patients in the RCA Clinical Curriculum and record notes in medical records.
• Understand and apply the principles of 12-Step Programs to the recovery process.

1st Shift:7:00am – 3:30pm
2nd Shift:3:00pm – 11:30pm (+$1/hrevening differential)
3rd Shift:11:00pm – 7:30am (+$2/hrovernight differential)

What You'll Do

As a Recovery Support Specialist at RCA, you will:
