Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to assess, defuse and bring resolution to abnormal situations.

Responsibilities

  • Present a positive, courteous, professional role model at all times.
  • Provide for safety, comfort, and security by enforcing house rules.
  • Regularly perform urine screens, client room and property searches; document findings in SAM.
  • Document all client behaviors and concerns for therapist review.
  • Oversee clients regarding chores and duties.
  • Investigate serious occurrences and report to Supervisor and Therapist.
  • Assist in intake through searching, laundering and inventorying personal property.
  • Supervise clients during drills and emergencies.
  • Oversee clients during meals and smoke breaks.
  • Accompany and supervise clients during activities.
  • Maintain client sign out sheets.
  • Report repairs on maintenance work orders.
  • Clean beds of clients after discharge.
  • Participate in staff development sessions.
