Job summary

Oaks Integrated Care Inc. in New Jersey is seeking Recovery Specialists to provide on-call coverage at county Emergency Departments and to deliver recovery supports for individuals discharged from opioid overdoses.

You will lead recovery-based groups and individual sessions in the Burlington County Jail, educate survivors on treatment navigation using Evidence Based Practices, and support their engagement and long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in providing recovery support services.
• Knowledge of recovery-based concepts and interventions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Available to provide on-call support that includes weekend, evening and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage at county Emergency Departments and engage and provide non-clinical assistance and recovery supports for individuals reversed from an opioid overdose.
• Provide recovery-based groups and individual sessions in the Burlington County Jail.
• Educate survivors on how to navigate treatment, social service and recovery support systems using EBPs.
• Serve as a positive role model to survivors and their families by sharing experiential knowledge, hope, and skills.
• Maintain relationships with survivors and their families via in-person meetings or phone calls for a minimum of eight weeks to assist in treatment, engagement and retention.
