Job summary

TPC Wellness in Mt. Orab, Ohio is seeking a Shift Coordinator to lead on shift, supervise Recovery Support Specialists, ensure policy compliance, and maintain documentation for residents undergoing recovery.

The role blends direct client support with staff leadership and administrative oversight. The ideal candidate will manage shift reports, coordinate admissions and discharges, and uphold safety, reliability, and teamwork on a 3rd shift with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Active CDCA certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days (company assistance provided).
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for Recovery Support Specialists during shifts.
• Assign and communicate shift tasks and expectations.
• Train, coach, and support new staff members.
• Participate in staff and resident disciplinary investigations.
• Lead pre-shift and post-shift debriefings.
• Manage and review shift reports, incident reports, UA logs, weekly call logs, monthly reports.
• Monitor the Behavioral Management System and provide weekly updates.
• Ensure accurate documentation of activities and incidents.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, orientations, and transportation.
• Build professional relationships with residents.
• Support a structured and recovery-focused environment.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet resident needs.
• Conduct facility, room, and locker searches.
• Oversee resident counts and facility security.
• Observe medication administration and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and operational readiness.

Position Summary

The Shift Coordinator serves as the operational leader on shift, supervising Recovery Support Specialists, ensuring policy compliance, maintaining documentation, and supporting residents throughout their recovery process. This role combines direct client support with staff leadership and administrative oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

• Act as the primary contact for Recovery Support Specialists during shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Active CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire (company assistance provided).
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
