Job summary

Granite Recovery Center in New Hampshire is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for full-time, non-clinical work supervising clients and enforcing policies while applying the 12 Steps in real life.

You will assist admissions, transport clients to meetings and medical appointments, and document observations in the EMR, working with clinicians to support recovery. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 40 pounds are required; prior experience in a substance abuse facility is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and NH driving record checks.
• 12-step recovery knowledge a plus.
• Some computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to follow and complete a daily task list.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior work experience in a substance abuse facility a plus.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of clients and enforcement of policies.
• Observe and supervise medication administration and maintain logs.
• Transport clients to meetings, appointments and admissions/discharges.
• Assist admissions coordinator and documentation in EMR.
• Offer and implement growth opportunities based on 12 Steps.
• Demonstrate and reflect the company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
