Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience of recovery from substance use or mental health conditions and be willing to share personal experiences to support others.
• High school diploma or GED required; Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Two or more years of experience in the field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis assistance as needed.
• Assists consumer in maintaining eligibility for applicable programs and evaluations within timelines.
• Advocates for and assists the Consumer in obtaining needed services through referrals.
• Conducts process groups and various groups as assigned daily.
• Assists clients and staff during admissions and discharges.
• Demonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health to meet treatment needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Supports Westbrook Health Services mission and policies.
