Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. seeks a Certified Recovery Specialist (Full Time) to support clients in recovery within the West Shore area. You will provide hope, advocacy, and coordinated care as part of a compassionate team.

Minimum requirements include a GED or high school diploma with PA Certification Board training and at least 12 months of related experience. Travel to programs is required as part of daily work. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma with PA Certification Board training for Certified Recovery Specialist.
• 12 months of volunteer service or related employment required.
• No substitutions for education or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide hope and encouragement to clients in recovery goals.
• Identify weaknesses and strengths with clients to support recovery.
• Assist clients in articulating personal recovery goals.
• Develop aftercare (wellness recovery) plans with clients.
• Provide resources about community supports and how to use them.
• Promote self-advocacy and reduce stigma for clients.
• Advocate for effective recovery services and participate in treatment team meetings.
• Be a liaison with established community support groups and referrals.
• Model coping techniques and social skills to support job acquisition.
• Accompany clients to appointments and events while maintaining boundaries.
• Document progress and plans in client records and treatment plans.
