Responsibilities

• Provide hope and encouragement to clients pursuing recovery goals.
• Help identify weaknesses and strengths in clients’ recovery journey.
• Assist clients in articulating personal recovery goals.
• Develop and support aftercare (wellness recovery) plans.
• Share community resources and supports for recovery.
• Promote empowerment and reduce stigma through self-advocacy.
• Advocate for effective recovery-based services; attend treatment team meetings.
• Serve as liaison with community support groups and referrals.
• Model coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Support vocational goals and manage job-related anxiety.
• Teach problem-solving and coping skills.
• Help clients build social skills for community life and job tenure.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community events with ethical boundaries.
• Document progress and treatment plans in MyAvatar.
