Job summary

Set Free Alaska is seeking a Behavioral Health Assistant to join our award-winning Residential Facility. This 24-hour operation requires flexibility and commitment to supporting residents on their path to recovery while assisting clinical staff with everyday tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Prioritizing confidentiality and building rapport with clients and staff is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• CDC II certification or NCAC 1 or QAP equivalent within 3 years from hire
• Pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check
• Qualify for Set Free Alaska’s commercial automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Support residents and model healthy relationships that encourage sobriety
• Assist clinical staff with filing, copying, faxing, medication monitoring, transport, shopping and activities
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
• Monitor residents' adherence to house rules and document in the log
• Model and teach life skills such as personal care, hygiene, laundry, housekeeping and budgeting
• Assist clients in developing conflict resolution skills within the community
