Job summary

The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission seeks a full-time Certified Recovery Specialist to serve at the Indiana County Jail. You will provide non-clinical recovery support to inmates and help arrange community resources after release.

You will coordinate care, offer peer support and mentoring, assist with reentry planning, and ensure MAT inmates have services in place before release. This is a field-focused role with a strong service impact.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be in recovery from substance use disorder.
• Prefer CRS Certification; must obtain CRS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recovery support to inmates.
• Assist with reentry planning and connection to community resources.
• Offer peer support, mentoring, and guidance.
• Complete coordination of care and casework activities.
• Ensure MAT inmates are seen and have services in place prior to release.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency policies.
