Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County Incorporated (CCBC) is seeking a Recovery Specialist Supervisor to lead the COE-RRS program in Taunton, MA. This role oversees supervision, intake processes, and coordination of resident care within an office-based setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in human services with 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years as a substance abuse counselor, plus 1–2 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services plus 3 years of relevant experience or 5 years as a substance abuse counselor.
• Addictions/Substance Abuse Certification preferred, or must be working towards such.
• Must have at least 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with adults who have a history of mental illness/substance misuse; knowledge of recovery resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise recovery specialists on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
• Develop and manage the monthly staff schedule to ensure program coverage.
• Ensure residents' hygiene and nutrition needs are met.
• Coordinate transportation to ensure residents attend required appointments.
• Assist with new intakes for the COE-RRS program.
• Observe medication administration for residents.
• Assess clients' stages of change and treatment readiness.
• Conduct outreach using evidence-based practices (motivational interviewing, CBT).
• Collaborate with residents to understand addiction impact on life.
• Address consequences of use and support relapse prevention and long-term recovery.
• Provide community resources for substance abuse and mental health concerns as needed.
• Report to Program Director/Clinical Director daily for guidance.
