Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. seeks a Recovery Specialist Supervisor to lead staff at the My Sister's House program in Western Massachusetts. The role supports individuals in growth, safety, and independence, while upholding BHN's mission and values.

The supervisor will oversee Recovery Specialist staff and Medication Specialists, manage the Medication Room, and provide crisis intervention as needed. A valid driver’s license and experience in substance abuse settings are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse regulations.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the growth, independence, and safety of the individuals served.
  • Providing supervision to Recovery Specialist staff at My Sister's House.
  • Managing the Medication Room and process.
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Completing program forms, documentation, and progress notes in the EMR in a timely manner.
  • Reporting to the Program Director.

What You Will Do:
  • Supporting the growth, independence, and safety of the individuals served.
  • Providing support and guidance as a role model to others, as needed.
  • Providing direct supervision to Recovery Specialist staff at My Sister's House.
  • Providing direct supervision to Medication Specialists.
  • Managing the Medication Room and process.
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency services, as needed.
  • Assisting in staff selection, resolving personnel issues, and scheduling and coaching/counseling of employees.
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of educational programs, as needed.Conducting routine facility checks to report any program-specific safety and maintenance concerns.
  • Completing program specific forms, documentation, and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Completing individually assigned responsibilities, such as room checks, house laundry, etc.
  • Reporting directly to the Program Director of the My Sister's House program.
Who You Are:
  • Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration (required).
  • Ability to understand, empathize, and work with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders.
  • At least one year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required).
  • At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of Medication management in an RRS program, following BSAS regulations.
  • CNA, LADC II or LADC III (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Assistants) or equivalent (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse regulations (required).
  • Proficient use of the EMR system, word processing and email system.
  • Valid driver's license (required).
