Danvers, MA – Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is hiring a Recovery Specialist for a 32-hour weekly night shift (Friday–Monday, 11pm–7am) in a 40-bed detox program.

The role provides supervision, conducts 30-minute well-being checks, conducts admissions screenings by phone, and completes shift notes on time per policy. Benefits start day-one; compensation ranges from $20.00 to $24.38 per hour with potential overtime and shift differentials.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with substance use population preferred.
  • Valid MA driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and structure of the program milieu; monitor client activities.
  • Conduct 30-minute client well-being checks.
  • Perform telephone admissions screenings and other admissions duties.
  • Complete checklists, shift documentation, and records per policy.

Clients are provided with a short-term intensive treatment program to guide them with their transition to long term care. Services include individual and group counseling, risk assessment for TB & STDs, HIV education, case management, and after-care follow up services. The Recovery Specialist position is a great opportunity for someone who seeks to be a positive presence in the life in those who are struggling with addiction.The Recovery Specialist’s Responsibilities Are:Ensuring the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activitiesObserves and supervises clients and unit; conducts 30 minute client well-being checksConducts telephone admission screenings as well as other admissions dutiesSearches client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as otherwise directed by supervisorCompletes all necessary checklists, shift documentation and record keeping in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and proceduresQualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Experience working with substance use population is preferredValid MA Driver’s License in good standing preferredPay Range:$20.00 – $24.38The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
