Beth Israel Lahey Health's Danvers Treatment Center seeks a Recovery Specialist to support a 41-bed detoxification program providing 24-hour nursing care and emotional support during withdrawal from alcohol and drugs. The role focuses on safety, client monitoring, and facilitating admissions and workflow in a structured milieu.

Work will involve completing checklists, maintaining records, and collaborating with the team to connect clients with appropriate levels of care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with substance use population preferred.
  • MA Driver's License in good standing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities.
  • Observes and supervises clients and unit; conducts 30‑minute client well‑being check.
  • Conducts telephone admission screenings as well as other admissions duties.
  • Searches client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as directed by supervisor.
  • Completes all necessary checklists, shift documentation and record keeping in a timely manner per agency policies.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 6:45a-3:15p (40 Hours) The Danvers Treatment Center is a 41-bed detoxification program dedicated to helping men and women by providing 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during the one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. Services include individual case management and group treatment services focused on assisting the client with accessing step-down levels of care.

The Recovery Specialist position is a great opportunity for someone who seeks to be a positive presence in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience working with substance use population is preferred
  • Valid MA Driver's License in good standing preferred
Pay Range

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.38 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
